The Victory Cup polo match was this past month at Hyde Park Polo Club in Ravenel. This was my second year attending the event. We decided to get a fun crew together and ride buses to Hyde Park. The festival was way more than just horses & balloons! There was a ton of food and beverage options, bounce houses, kids’ activities, and local vendors. We watched several polo matches and once they were complete, the balloons went back up and we enjoyed live music from The First Class Band.
I attended the polo match with some of my favorite friends and it was a great reminder of how blessed I am to have such a incredible community here. We all decided to splurge on Founder’s Tickets (which included access to the VIP area, the Farm to Table Dinner, an open bar, and even massages). We found a big table under a gorgeous oak tree and enjoyed cocktails and treats throughout the day. The line to get in the hot air balloons was ridiculously long so we skipped that but managed to get a few cute photos with the balloons in the background. I wore a stunning navy velvet dress by Anna Cate from Maris Dehart. And I even put on a few other cute outfits for some fun photo opts.
A big shout out to Charleston Downtown Limo for putting up with our rowdy crew and letting us have a 90’s rap dance party on the trip home. Nothing says “successful day” like rapping Biggie Smalls and dancing to Lil Jon on the drive back home.
