PATTERSON, N.Y. – If you were late, you were out of luck.  Over 1100 people flooded Beaver Creek Farm in Patterson to take part in the 10th Annual Victory Cup; and when just about every Image47available piece of grass was filled with a parked car, event organizer Greg Ball called it closed.  “That’s it.  Tell them we’re sold out.”, the former State Senator told the volunteers directing the hundreds of cars onto the farmland.  Previously, the Victory Cup Polo Match was used as a political fundraiser for Ball while he was in office.  Now it’s being used to benefit local charities.  This year’s event benefited three charities, the Little Babyface Foundation which helps children born with facial deformities; Purple Heart Homes, assisting veterans and families with housing and stability; and the SPCA, a humane society empowered to enforce laws relating to animal cruelty.

Lou Cardillo, owner of Cardillo Real Estate was the Title Sponsor and for good reason.  “My oldest son Charlie has Down Syndrome and his ears used to stick out. Image42 He was taunted and made fun of his whole life until the Little Babyface Foundation performed a free surgery on him.”, said Cardillo.  “He’s got more self esteem now.  he’s going to college, he’s got girlfriends, and that’s why the organization is near and dear to my heart.

Image44Attendees had the opportunity to watch a Polo match with the U.S. Official Polo Team, and participate in a silent auction and a full farm to table dinner experience provided by Beaver Creek Farm.   “You know we’ve become so disconnected as a society from our food, from our farms, from nature and the environment.” said event organizer Greg Ball.  Cardillo added, “There’s nothing like this in the country. It’s a true Farm to Table experience .
