IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT THIS WEEKEND:
Take 5 minutes and READ THE SCHEDULE (READ not SCAN!!) so you know how to plan your day(s) between the TWO PROPERTIES. All guests should allow for 2-3 hours at the Christmas Market held at Bankersmith Dance Hall and Saloon (across the street from the balloon and polo grounds). Free shuttles will take all paid guests safely back and forth between the two properties. Make sure you check out our website for more information about the event. Our VIP Area on the Polo Field is in white tent fieldside for polo and then in the rustic ol’ Bankersmith Dance Hall at Bankersmith Dance Hall and Saloon in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. To get the full value please: A) Come both days if you can B) On Friday come enjoy the Gun Fight at 6PM at the Saloon C) Arrive by 10AM on Saturday for your VIP Lunch service (Your choice of Pulled Pork, Snow Crab, Oysters and German Sausages) at the Bankersmith Dance Hall D) Enjoy your complimentary Oyster Service on Saturday from the Bankersmith Food Pad E) Attend Saturday Polo Matches starting at 2PM F) Enjoy Kin Faux Band in the Bankersmith Dance Hall by 4:30PM G) Grab your VIP Dinner from the Bankersmith Food Pad before 8PM saturday H) Get a Balloon Ride or Helicopter Ride when winds allow and lastly, and lastly, I) Enjoy your VIP Only Open Bar in the Bankersmith Dance Hall on Friday or Saturday. Polo guests and our VIP’s are encouraged to dress up but make sure you are comfortable. Typical garb is jeans, dress shirt and a jacket for polo. Dresses and boots for women. We just built this new Polo Field and it is being played on the dirt, so for those coming to Polo wear boots or your best walking shoes! Leave the fancy dress shoes at home. Kick it up some!
EARLY REGISTRATION:
The weather is looking great for balloons Friday and Saturday! Please socially distance and stay home if you are sick. Get your wristbands TODAY, THIS Wednesday without waiting in line! Come pre-register between 5PM and 7PM TODAY on Wednesday at Bankersmith Texas for the event! Get your wristbands so you do NOT have to wait in LONG lines during the event! Live music, drinks and food plus all our furry and feathered farm friends will be on hand to greet you TODAY!
SOCIAL DISTANCING:
Temperature checks will be required for admission and registration will be done while you are still in your vehicle! We have made changes like these to help us meet social distancing requirements, and we ask for your understanding. If you want to wear a mask, wear one. There is plenty of room to socially distance. Be smart. And if you are sick, STAY HOME. (If you are planning on going on a tethered balloon ride or a Helicopter ride, please make sure that you are wearing a mask. The pilots require it.).
EVENT EXPECTATIONS:
Whoaaaa Trigger, whoa! Please don’t come expecting hundreds of balloons or the Ritz Cartlon in New York! We have 6-12 balloons ONLY for each event. This is our second event on our new farm at Bankersmith Too and we will be working out the kinks accordingly. We want your input! Please be patient with us. Welcome to the country and breathe a little! 2020 has been horrid. Enjoy your time in the country! You will be able to enjoy horses, polo, petting zoos, live music, a large Christmas Market, great food and yes, hot air balloons and helicopters. Welcome home! But manage your expectations cowboy.
This is a fun, casual country fair and Hot Air Balloon Festival and Polo Match with a Texas twist! You have 85 acres to socially distance. So wear a mask when you are close to others, but maintain 6’ or more and enjoy the day. You will be spending your time between two unique properties. Most activities are outside, so dress warm. If it is warm during day it can still get very cold at night! We have about a half a dozen local artists and bands playing throughout Saturday on both properties and will have a small, fun kids area for the kids at Bankersmith Dance Hall and Saloon! We will have Jerusalem Donkeys, Christmas Camels, North Polo Longhorns, a Nativity Scene, and more at Bankersmith as well. Just like most Texas Dance Halls (from Luckenbach to Gruene) we have NATURAL HVAC and air conditioning. What’s that? A Hill Country Breeze and Ice Cold Beer. That’s it. So come prepared. Dress appropriately. It’ll be cold at times! Bankersmith Texas will be open all weekend.
