Get Ready for The Best Derby Party In Texas!
The Austin Derby Day Party & Victory Cup Polo Match is returning to Austin to present The Victory Cup Derby Day — The Best Derby Party In Texas, benefitting Matt Mackowiak’s (an Austin-based political and communications professional, biweekly columnist for The Austin American Statesman and political analyst for KTBC Fox 7 and KVUE ABC 24) fundraising campaign for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society whose goal is to raise funds for research to fight blood cancers
It’s a fun-filled day that involves a live polo match, food, drinks, and entertainment followed by coverage of the Kentucky Derby race! Victory attendees are encouraged to dress up, enjoy the beautiful prowess and athleticism of the polo ponies, the excitement of the polo match, and all of the other activities the event has to offer. Guests can also enjoy a VIP/tent experience where they can mix and mingle with premier event sponsors and partners, taste farm to table foods and local wines, spirits and beer from the greater Austin area. The day ends with an impressive sabering presentation and player awards! After that, a 9ft by 16ft LED screen will display a live feed of the 142nd run of the Kentucky Derby. Last but not least, Victory Cup Farm to Table pass holders will then get to an experience an incredible Farm to Table Dinner on the polo field with the polo players themselves! A limited amount of Farm to Table Dinner tickets are now available on The Victory Cup website.
The Austin Derby Day Party & Victory Cup Polo Match takes place at the Austin Polo Club: 13628 Gregg Manor Rd, Austin, TX 78653
Saturday, May 7th from 1PM to 6PM
The Austin Derby Day Party & Victory Cup Polo Match itself is a private, for-profit event, but The Victory Cup partners with local charities, affording them the opportunity to use a code to receive 70% of all sales tracked to that code! Please use the code ‘LLS’ to assist event Chairman Matt Mackowiak in his mission to raise $100,000 for this amazing charity. Again, tickets can be purchased here.
Some of the local food vendors that I’m excited about are Counter 3 five vii, Fork & Vine, Garbo’s Lobster Truck, East Side Cafe, Cote Catering, and Burro Grilled Cheese, amongst many others.
Make sure to get your tickets soon and join about 3000 other attendees at an event that will not only be fun and exciting, it’ll be benefitting a great cause and will also be kid and pet friendly.
