‘The Battle of the Chefs’ Competition

Opening Night VIP Dinner

$100 pp / $175 per couple

Friday 6 pm until 10 pm

The Texas Grown Opening Night VIP Dinner will take place on the grounds of the Pioneer Museum (TENTED) and is the premiere event of the The Best of Texas Festival. Alongside discerning Food Critics, VIP dinner guests will score each portion of the meal and vote for ‘The Best Chef in Texas!  The various plates will be decided by participating Chefs, but keeping with the Texas Grown theme, will be Farm to Table & Exotic Game focused. The dinner will also feature live jazz, local distilleries, breweries and vineyards; plus an assortment of locally grown produce and proteins. Menu may include seasonal salads and sides, Heritage Breed Pork, Grass Fed Beef, Axis Deer, Blackbuck Antelope, local cheeses and honey. (Watch social media for updates)

The Best of the Texas Hill Country Bier Run

Saturday 9:30 am, Awards 10:45 am

Runners of all ages and abilities will take part in the Bier Run 5K, ending at the Pioneer Museum in the VIP runner’s tent. Participating runners will finish the fun run with a Breakfast of Meisters including German Sausage and a complimentary beer!

Wine on Main in Fredericksburg Texas (Free)

Saturday 10 am –  2 pm

Attendees are encouraged to Shop and Enjoy Wine, Beer and Spirit Tastings at numerous shops along Main Street.

The Best of Texas Tasting Festival

Saturday 11 am – 10 pm

Held Saturday on the grounds of the Pioneer Museum in downtown, historic Fredericksburg! Includes fun for everyone including access to the historic grounds, live music, art galleries, cooking competitions, exotic game chef matchups, cooking bootcamps and classes, lessons in sustainable agriculture, food and alcohol tastings and so much more! This pass includes six sampling tickets, which can be used to purchase food and alcohol samplings. (Additional sampling tickets will be for sale, day of)

Victory Cup  “Blue Bonnet” Polo Match

Sunday 11 am – 6 pm

The finale event, the Victory Cup  “Blue Bonnet” Polo Match (Sunday) is a networking and social destination drawing hundreds from Texas and beyond. Get ready for an unforgettable afternoon of thrilling polo (Texas Tech vs. Alumni / Cowboy Polo), awesome food tastings, great drinks, fashion and luxury automobiles.

Texas Grown Farm to Table Dinner at The Victory Cup on the Field

Sunday 6 pm – 10 pm

During this dinner (Sunday) we will be tapping into the local resources of farms and ranches throughout the Texas Hill Country. Executive Chef John Tomlin, and other participating Chefs, will prepare a family style four course farm to table dinner, featuring live music, complimentary wine and beer pairings.
